Our Monday and Wednesday Pointe classes, Monday Absolute Beginners class and our Sunday Variation classes are held at The Place, 16 Flaxman Terrace, London, WC1H 9AT. We are usually located within Studio 4 or 3 (first floor). These studios are beautiful, spacious, modern and well-equipped. The Place is located a 7 minutes walk from both Kings Cross and Euston station.

Our Tuesday improvers Ballet and Absolute Beginners ballet class, along with our Thursday Intermediate and Beginner Technique classes are held at WAC Arts, Dance Studio 1, The Old Town Hall, 213 Haverstock Hill, London, NW3 4QP. These wonderful studios are just 2 minutes walk away from Belsize Park Underground station and take place inside the historic Old Town Hall. We are located in the large Dance Studio 1.

We occasionally host workshops and intensives at the Acosta Dance Foundation or West London School of Dance studios too. This will be listed on the booking page whenever it is the case.

Our Absolute Beginner ballet classes are the best place to start if you have zero experience. Our Beginner classes generally assume a little prior experience.

Beyond Beginner level classes, we recommend students seek teacher approval for progression. Our Improvers Ballet Class page includes detailed information about preparing for this level. You can also prepare to level up through our tailored workshops.

Our Intermediate classes are suitable for those with a significant amount of experience with ballet. These Intermediate classes are closer to an Advanced level than an Improver level. If you have completed RAD Grade 8 or vocational exams (Intermediate - Advanced 2), these classes are suitable for you. Experienced students can choose to wear Pointe shoes if they wish.

Our Pointe classes require a solid foundation in ballet. Students should have an active and current ballet practice. We generally recommend students begin with the Pre-Pointe and Pointe (online) or Beginner+ Pointe class, and seek teacher approval to progress to the Intermediate Pointe class.

Our Pilates and Conditioning Class and online workshops are generally open to all, including those with no prior experience.

Dropping into one of our group classes costs on average £15 for a 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 minute lesson. Classes can also be booked as a Course (this is a term booking of 8 - 13 consecutive weeks) at a 10% discount. Students can also purchase Memberships - these are monthly packages which entitle you to a certain amount of studio classes, e.g. 8 classes per month for £110 or unlimited studio classes per month for £165. Yes. We do not accept walk-ins or take cash payments in class. Only those who have booked in advance will be allowed to participate.

Our classes are open to those aged 18+. If you are aged 16 - 18, you are welcome to attend with parental or guardian permission. Please contact us to request a form.

It is best to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. There is absolutely no obligation to wear formal ballet attire. If it is your first class, bare feet or socks are fine. However, if you are a regular student, you will need to wear ballet shoes. Don’t forget a bottle of water!

We know it can be intimidating to join a new class for the first time - especially when it is ballet. Leave yourself plenty of time to arrive so that you are not late. Arriving early is also a great way to introduce yourself to other dancers in the class whilst warming up. If you have any injuries or health conditions, it is very important for you to let the teacher know at the beginning of the class. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.

Our class sizes are capped and upon booking, a space is reserved for you. As a small business we cannot afford to reimburse those who cannot attend the class on short notice.

If there are exceptional, unforeseen circumstances, please contact us and we may, at our discretion, provide you with a credit voucher.

We highly recommend you consult with your doctor or physician first to check if ballet is suitable for you. But rest assured, our classes are delivered in an inclusive manner; all students are welcome to opt out of certain exercises, to have a break at any point during the class or to modify exercises given their particular requirements. Several of our regular students are diagnosed with with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and EDS or are returning after an injury. We are mindful about making our classes a safe space; we encourage you to work at your own pace and to only participate to the degree that is safe for you.

You will need access to some quiet space and a barre (or chair) for any of the ballet classes. For stretch and conditioning classes, it is useful to have a yoga mat. However, a towel or something to place on the floor is a perfectly fine substitute. We try to plan and deliver our online classes in such a way that everyone can participate, even if they do not have a great deal of space. We do make use of props in our online Conditioning classes, you can find out more in the class description. Ensure you have suitable flooring for virtual Pointe classes
