What to expect:

Join us for an exciting ballet workshop led by the talented Leticia Dias, First Soloist with the Royal Ballet. In this 2-hour session, we'll learn the beloved Swanhilda variation from Coppelia, a classical ballet solo renowned for its beautiful music and choreography. This masterclass will begin with barre and a short warm-up before moving into the repertoire section of the class. Leticia will guide us through a step-by-step breakdown of the original choreography, providing support with technical aspects as well as characterisation. Embody the lively and playful Swanhilda and enjoy Leticia's expert guidance as she shares her insights and experiences with this delightful role!

Meet your teacher:

Leticia Dias is a First Soloist with the Royal Ballet. She won a prestigious Prix de Lausanne scholarship that took her to the Royal Ballet Upper school; she later joined the company. She has had a phenomenal career dancing numerous classical and contemporary works and has featured in the Royal Ballet's Insight series. Roles include 'Fairy of the Golden Vine' (Sleeping Beauty) and Mitzi and Princess Louise (Mayerling). She debuted as the Sugar Plum Fairy (Nutcracker) in late 2022 and more recently in Woolf Works.
